“These businesses, small and large, are honoured in their various categories for their creativity, commitment and hard work,” says NSBA President Chad Leverick. “On behalf of the NSBA Board and members, I congratulate the recipients on what they have accomplished in building enduring businesses and contributing to our community. They stand out as examples of the impressive business people we have in Saskatoon, showing values that we can all learn from and respect.”

This year’s awards banquet marked the return of the Young Promising Entrepreneur Award, as well as an exciting new innovation for the namesake “Business Builder Award”. This award is awarded to the NSBA business recognized by NSBA members for contributing to the success of NSBA members.

Traditionally, the award has been a ballot vote by the membership during the Nomination period, well in advance of the banquet. This year four finalists were determined from this member voting. Attendees as the banquet determined he winner through a ‘text-to-vote’ competition. Like our Young Promising Entrepreneur Award, the winner will ultimately be chosen by the attendees at the Awards Banquet!

“We bill this as a night where we honour our own,” says Keith Moen, Executive Director for the NSBA.“But more than that, this evening is about acknowledging and celebrating the success, leadership, ingenuity, and in some cases, the persistence of our peers. Our young entrepreneurs category offers a glimpse into what lies ahead in our business community, which in all circumstances, points towards a bright future.”

Crestline received the Pursuit of Excellence Award which is awarded to the business that recognizes and pursues activities which define, promote and identify it as an industry leader among its peers and within the business community. Crestline also placed as a finalist for the Export Award.
