One of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies

Saskatoon, SK - For the second year in a row, Crestline, a leading ambulance manufacturer and Canada's national bus dealer, requalified as one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies. Among 200 applications, this year's winners proved to have invested in product and service innovation.

In 2011, Crestline continued to produce new innovations, top quality vehicle solutions and expand its market development during a time of economic uncertainty. Crestline's new and largest model, the Summit, was specifically designed to meet the needs of fire departments, first responders and EMS services. In addition, Crestline's new state of the art facility was built with the purpose of increasing operational efficiencies and reducing overall costs and lead time.

“Canada's 50  award touches on so many things that we’re proud of," says Daryl Bitz, Crestline's President and CEO. "We are especially proud to have a team of professionals who go above and beyond in order to understand our market and the client’s needs, while still managing to be creative, innovative and produce world-class products.”

"While Best Managed Companies recognize uncertainty on the economic horizon their focus has been squarely on growing their businesses and identifying new income streams," said John Hughes, national leader of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies Program. "They grew through targeted spending in the form of acquisitions, enhancing their infrastructure and on product and service innovation."

Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies, a nationwide awards program established in 1993, is sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC, National Post and Queen's School of Business. Best Managed Companies celebrates Canadian success stories of privately-held companies with revenues exceeding 10 million. Winners were awarded at the annual gala and symposium on March 27, 2012, in Toronto, Ontario.
