Crestline Celebrates Grand Opening

On May 11, 2012, Crestline officially celebrated its much anticipated move to its new 80,400 sq. ft.  facility at 126 Wheeler St., in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Crestline's new building includes a production and paint area, a two-storey office structure with multiple meeting spaces, customer reception, a medical supply showroom, a vehicle showroom/delivery area and a spacious yard for chassis and vehicle storage. In addition, employees benefit from a large lunchroom, electrified parking as well as large windows and an open office environment that maximizes natural light.

"Our new facility is built to meet our unique business needs. Even though we have only been here for a short time, we are already seeing employees (who had been in separate facilities) become reacquainted with one another and collaborate on projects that would not have been possible working out of four separate buildings,” said Daryl Bitz, Crestline President and CEO.

"Synergy with other departments is becoming stronger and I look forward to the future," adds Leon Ferguson, Bus Manager.

About twenty years ago, Crestline moved into its previous facility on 57th Street in Saskatoon. Another building was then built adjacent to that facility. Then roughly a decade ago, Crestline expanded to a third building across the street. Five years previous Crestline needed a fourth building for the CrestCoat paint process.

“In a manufacturing environment the set up was far from ideal.” Daryl Bitz continues, “However Crestline's team being the innovative group they are, made it work.  We needed a more suitable work environment. Customers deserved a better place to inspect and receive their vehicles. Crestline needed to improve production and operational efficiencies. Our team needed to more easily communicate with each other. We're very proud of our new plant. We're still getting used to it and we're still working to finish off a few things. But most importantly, I'm glad that you are all here to celebrate the grand opening with us.”

The Crestline team with original founders Peter Adsten, Ronn Janzen, Ken Sawatsky and board members Keith Brown, Tom Kennedy and Rob Duguid, celebrated with key customers, suppliers, and several government delegates including:

Honourable Donald Atchison, Mayor of Saskatoon
Honourable Ken Cheveldayoff, Minister of Environment

Gordon Wyant, MLA for Saskatoon North West
Don Morgan, MLA for Saskatoon Southeast
Minister of Advanced Education, Minister of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety
